Sinopsis singkat biar penasaran tapi gak spoiler:

Animekompi: Di pinggiran kota Tokyo, hiduplah seorang anak laki-laki canggung berusia sekitar 10 tahun. Muncullah didepannya seseorang bernama Sewashi, keturunan Nobita generasi keempat di abad ke-22, dan Doraemon kucing robot penjaga di abad 22 yang membantu orang dengan gadget rahasianya. Sewashi merasa bahwa keluarganya menderita karena utang yang Nobita tinggalkan hingga sampai ke generasinya, dan dalam rangka untuk mengubah masa depan bencana ini, ia mengutus Doraemon sebagai penjaga Nobita agar bisa memberikan kebahagiaan di masa depannya, dan Doraemon tidak senang dengan hal ini. Akhirnya Sewashi memasang program ke Doraemon agar dapat memaksanya untuk mengurus Nobita. Doraemon tidak bisa kembali ke abad ke-22 kecuali Nobita hidup bahagia. kisah Ini tentang bagaimana kehidupan Doraemon dan Nobita dimulai.     Di suatu masa yang disebut dengan Croodacious, alam dan makhluk hidup masih dalam proses evolusi. Zaman tersebut dapat dikatakan zaman purbakala. Disana, hiduplah sebuah keluarga Croods. Grug (Nicolas Cage) dan istrinya, Ugga (Catherine Keener) yang hidup bersama ketiga orang anaknya, Eep (Emma Stone), Thunk (Clark Duke), Sandy (Randy Thom), dan ibu dari Ugga, Gran (Cloris Leachman).

    Setiap gerak-gerik keluarga Croods selalu dibawah komando Grug. Mereka tinggal di dalam gua selama berminggu-minggu, dan sesekali keluar untuk berburu makanan. Grug berpendapat bahwa dunia di luar tempat persembunyian mereka sangatlah berbahaya. Sementara Eep, selalu haus akan petualangan. Eep selalu ingin tahu tentang dunia luar, dan mencari cahaya, mengingat gua, tempat mereka menghabiskan waktu selama ini sangat jauh dari keberadaan cahaya.

    Kedekatan keluarga Croods dengan kegelapan membuat Eep bosan. Hingga pada suatu malam saat seluruh keluarganya tertidur, Eep menyelinap keluar. Tak diduga, Eep bertemu dengan Guy. Pertemuan dengan manusia lain membuat Eep terkejut dan bingung. Guy adalah keluarga lain yang hidup pada masa itu, namun sayangnya, Guy hanya sendiri karena keluarganya telah tiada.

    Drama dimulai saat sebuah bencana alam dahsyat terpaksa membuat keluarga Croods harus mencari tempat persembunyian lain karena gua yang selama ini mereka tempati telah hancur.
